Talk by The Chairman on The Life of Netaji Subhash Bose

31 August 2015 shall remain etched in our memories as on this day we, the students of Class VI, had the opportunity of hearing our honorable Chairman, Mr. Prafull Goradia , speak on one of Indias greatest heroes of the freedom struggle, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

We were very excited as we assembled in the School auditorium and settled down quickly as we waited for the talk to begin. Goradia sir commenced the session by introducing Netaji as a great son of India and highlighted his role in the freedom movement. He spoke of his astounding escapes and his many goals, the most important being, to attain freedom for his country. He narrated, in his inimitable style, the series of events from Netajis life woven into an amazing story. It seemed as if we were there experiencing every moment of it! Sir told us how Netajis ideas for Indias liberation were radically different from the the other freedom fighters. The story of his disguised escape from India to Germany fascinated us and we were left spellbound by the ingenuity of this unforgettable legendary figure. His slogan, 'Give me blood and I will give you freedom' became more meaningful as Goradia sir took us down the memory lane, on a journey through the fascinating years of his own life. He told us of his meeting with Netaji. He also shared his vision for the School and for our country, telling us about the events that led to the inception of our School.

To our dismay, the talk came to an end all too soon. We left for our classes happy and content as we had learnt a lot about one of Indias true patriots. We thank Mr. Goradia, an erudite speaker, for sharing his vast knowledge with us. We look forward to many more such interactive sessions with him.
