Talk on Health and Hygiene for adolescent girls

The Indian School recently organised a comprehensive Puberty Education workshop for the girls of classes V-IX. The workshop, conducted by Whisper ( P&G India) on 19 January 2024, was a remarkable initiative designed to empower adolescent girls on their transformative journey towards self-awareness, hygiene, self-love and body awareness.

The workshop went beyond the conventional bounds of education, aiming to foster open and candid conversations that not only addressed but dispelled prevailing misconceptions surrounding puberty. The primary focus was on creating a secure and sensitive space for the participating students and promoting an environment where they can freely express their thoughts and concerns.

One of the key objectives of the workshop was to encourage these young individuals to initiate open communication with trusted adults. By emphasising the importance of setting boundaries and providing clarity on understanding puberty, the workshop sought to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate this crucial phase of their lives confidently.

The event was instrumental in instilling a sense of empowerment among adolescent girls. By addressing their questions and concerns, the workshop not only provided valuable information but also nurtured a supportive community that understands the significance of guiding these young minds towards a healthier and more informed approach to puberty.

In essence, the workshop was a success, contributing significantly to the holistic development of our female students, fostering a positive mindset, and empowering them with the tools to embrace their journey into adolescence with confidence and self-assurance.
