The workshop was initiated by Dr. Jitendra Nagpal, senior consultant psychiatrist. This was followed by a series of lectures by special clinical psychologists. The first lecture was on the relationship between the brain, the mind and behaviour. It was especially interesting to hear the differences in the structure and functions of the human brain from infancy to adulthood. The session also highlighted the various cognitive disorders amongst children such as ADHD, dyslexia and epilepsy.

Another interesting session by Dr. Aparna Singh was on brain lobe functions and the development of child behaviour. Dr. Singh engaged the audience in several interesting activities during her session. The last lecture was delivered by Dr. Astha Sharma on neuropsychological assessment. It focused on the cognitive strengths/ weaknesses and suggested tests to gauge attention, verbalvisual memory, language-reading skills, gross-fine motor skills, emotional and personality development.
