Teachers Day celebrated on 4th September, Primary

It was a day of delight for the teachers to enjoy a presentation of the talent of their young students. Students of classes IV and V hosted a special assembly to acknowledge the effort of their teachers in moulding their young and impressionable minds.

The assembly began with Eshita Dagal from VB speaking a few lines on Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan whose birthday is celebrated each year as Teachers Day. Bhavneet Kaur from VB was the narrator at the assembly.

The event kicked off with the School choir singing an invocation to Lord Krishna on the eve of Janamasthami. This was followed by a composition by the western music teacher, Ms. Bedi sung by the children in praise of their teachers. Vikram Sit strummed the guitar as the students vigorously sang. To lighten the occasion, a group of students of class V recited a humorous poem Saw My Teacher on a Saturday . Both the teachers and the students were in splits after this! The highlight of the morning was a Mad-Ad prepared by the students of class IV and V, 'selling' the concept of keeping a dinosaur as a pet! It was an eye-catching advertisement with colourful costumes, a catchy tune and humour, with information about dinosaur habits. There were a few unplanned entries in the programme which came as a surprise even to the teacher helping with the assembly! These were especially delightful. Maanya Arora from class IVA spoke impromptu, thanking the teachers for their help and guidance. Aditi Gaur from class VE recited a humorous poem The Owl and The Pussy Cat, Ridit Anand from VD and Adi Narayan from VA presented a memorable scene from a famous Bollywood movie PK, in mime! The assembly ended with Head teacher Ms. Maini heartily thanking the students for making the day so special for all the teachers. She said the memory would remain special. Ms.Vandana Tewari.
