Teacher's Day celebrations
Brad Henry rightly said "A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instill a love of learning."
Teacher's Day is undoubtedly one of the most awaited events on the School calendar. To commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and to express gratitude to our dear teachers, Teacher's Day was celebrated on 2 and 5 September 2022 at our School, with great enthusiasm and vigour.
2 September was celebrated as Self Teaching Day when the students of class XII taught the junior classes, assisted by their teachers, who silently stood by, as the ' able young teachers' took on their roles. The student teachers were elegantly dressed. They conducted the sessions with panache.
Keeping with the annual tradition, a special assembly was conducted by the senior students as a befitting tribute to their beloved teachers on 5 September. The auditorium was beautifully decorated for the special occasion. The celebration began with the students elaborating on the crucial role that teachers play in students lives. This was followed by a foot tapping rendition of 'Gratitude' by Amin Toofani. The students also put up a humourous skit recreating some magical moments of school life. This was followed by wonderful dance and choir performances.
The teachers were enamoured by the melodies produced by the fine instrumentalists. They were also awarded titles recognising their special talents. The scintillating dance performance at the end received a roaring applause from the audience. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Principal, Ms Tania Joshi, commending the efforts of the students. It was surely a day to remember!
