The School chairman interacts with class 4 on Sardar Patel on the occasion of 31 October, the leader's birth anniversary.

On 3rd November 2016, the chairperson of our School, Mr. Prafull Goradia spoke to the children of class IV about Sardar Vallabhbai Patel in the School auditorium.

Vallabhbhai Patel was born on 31st October 1875. He was a political and social leader who played a major role in the countrys struggle for independence and subsequently guided its growth into a united and independent nation. He was fondly called the Iron Man of India and was often addressed as Sardar or Chief. After independence, Sardar Patel became Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister and played a critical role in integrating more than five hundred princely states into the Indian union. Sardar Patel also mobilised vast relief for post partition refugees in Punjab and Delhi and led efforts to restore peace across the nation. He united a scattered union, with diplomacy.

The Sardar's life, including the role he played in achieving the political integration of our country, is an inspiring story. The children were fascinated to learn colourful details of his life from his birth, early childhood, academic achievements, struggles faced as a student, his early years as a barrister and his contributions to the freedom struggle.

Mr. Goradias narration led to many curious questions which he answered painstakingly, expertly guiding their knowledge of this great leader.
