The Times Group organized The Times NIE Principals Meet on 14 February, 2014 at the Taj Palace Hotel. It was attended by our Principal, Mrs. Tania Joshi and Ms. Minoo Sethi.
The event was hosted in association with education solution provider, Repro India and was organized to acknowledge the efforts of principals, school-managements and the teaching fraternity. The meet involved a series of interactive talks from achievers in different fields of Education, Media and Information Technology. The panel of speakers included Mr. Kiran Karnik ( additional director of Sachen Communication technology) and Mr. Ravi Kukke, Director Education Solutions at Microsoft. The speakers shared their views on the use of information technology in education and how it induces scientific and global awareness, promotes curiosity and creativity and helps in advancing the students learning. Repro india gave a brief outline of their newly launched productRapples, which is a tablet- based learning solution. Microsoft also showed a presentation on their Office 365 pack.
The meet on the whole was an enriching experience and we were happy to be informed of the new opportunities for integrating IT in school education.
