Top honour at Army Public School competition

On July 27, 2023, Army Public School, Shankar Vihar, hosted an event titled 'Expressions 2023'. The competition comprised various activities, including an abstract painting competition centred around the theme "Little Picasso." Additionally, there was a portrait competition where participants depicted influential historical figures. Divfateh Singh of class IV-C and Gurkirat Kaur of class IX-C participated at the junior and senior levels, respectively. The host shool efficiently coordinated the event, ensuring all participants received the necessary art supplies, promoting fairness and equal opportunities.

In the coding competition called "Coding Master," Manan Kakkar and Ekveer Sahoo of class XII-A showcased their skills. They were presented with five intricate problems that required Python coding within a time limit of 1.5 hours. The students were not allowed to use any libraries and had to write the code from scratch, as it were. Encouraging teamwork, the participants collaborated to solve the problems ahead of other teams, which proved to be a valuable learning experience for them.

In the Lokanurag Regional Song competition, Sreyanshi Chowdhury of VI-B, Shashwat Sengupta from VII-C, and Binwant Singh from IV-C demonstrated their talents. Sreyanshi and Shashwat performed a duet, while Binwant displayed his skills on the dholak. The competition offered a rewarding experience for our students, promoting cultural appreciation.

Agrim Bhardwaj of III-B, Evantik of IV-B, and Sayantan Manna of V-A participated in the 'Matheletes Showdown,' which featured a series of mathematical games. The event not only provided enjoyment but also enhanced their knowledge and mathematical skills.

Some events were conducted online, including a Panchatantra Story Writing and Illustration competition in which Jyotika Chakraborty of VIII-E participated. Additionally, there was a stand-up comedy event with Atiksh Jain of XII-C showcasing his talent.

The highlight of the day was the event titled 'Conjugating the Terrestrial Sphere for a Promising Future,' in the team of The Indian School secured the First Position. They presented a folk tale relating to a G20 topic. The group comprised six students from classes IV and V: Mehar Arora (IVA), Shanaya Bhatia (IVA), Kushaan Bijlani (IVC), Akshita Bhaskar (VC), Amaira Kapoor (VA), and Avika Bansal (VD). Their exceptional performance reflected their dedication and creativity in crafting a compelling presentation.

Overall, 'Expressions 2023' was a resounding success, providing our students with various opportunities to showcase their talents and gain enriching experiences.
