Top honour at inter school folk song competition
On 19 August 2023, the students of The Indian School participated in Swaralap, an inter-school music competition, organised by Gyan Bharati School, Saket. The theme of the competition was Maati and twelve students from classes 3 to 6 participated in it. Nine schools participated in this competition.
Under this theme, the children were to present a folk song which signifies the importance of soil (Maati) in Hindi or any other regional language of India. This competition was organised for the students of the primary classes.
The team from The Indian School presented a folk song of Haryana, Harr ki dharti Haryane ki' in Haryanvi, emphasising the importance of the soil from the perspective of the farmers and the soldier. Our talented students put their best foot forward presenting a breathtaking performance and secured the First Position.
