Top honour in inter school FICCI competition

FICCI's Committee against Smuggling and Counterfeiting Activities Destroying the Economy (CASCADE) organised an inter-school competition on the theme "Zero Evasion - Ill Effects of Smuggling and Counterfeiting on the Country and the Role of Youth in Making India Free of Illicit Trade" on 17 August 2022.

The mega event featured 500 children from 60 plus leading schools in Delhi and NCR. The competition aimed to generate awareness among the country's youth; and seek their support to underpin the fight against counterfeiting and smuggling.

A team of 7 students of The Indian School participated in all 3 categories of the competition: Painting, Elocution and Creative writing.

Manan Kakkar and Ekveer Sahoo of class XI participated in the elocution competition with elan. Manan Kakkar made his School proud by winning First Position in this prestigious event.

Zavaidha Akhtar and Niyati Khurana of Class X showcased their prowess at creative writing.

Falak Rahi, Cheerayu Saha and Prayota Chakraborty of class XI showed off their brush strokes in the painting competition.

The eminent jury members included Mr PC Jha, Advisor, FICCI CASCADE and Former Chairman, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, Mr Guriqbal Singh Jaiya, Former Director, SME Division, WIPO and Mr Deep Chand, Advisor, FICCI CASCADE and Former Special Commissioner, Delhi Police.
