Top honours at Birla Vidya Mandir, Nainital
A talented contingent from The Indian School participated in an inter school cultural and literary competition held at Birla Vidya Mandir, Nainital, from 2nd to 4th May 2025. The event was moderated by Mr Parnab Mukherjee, noted resource person, known for his innovative approach to performance and pedagogy.
The students of The Indian School actively engaged in a variety of intellectually and artistically stimulating competitions and achieved commendable results. The Multi-Format English Debate witnessed the participation of Deepanshi Moitra (12B) and Ashmin Malhotra (12B). Their articulate arguments and well-researched stance earned them the Best Delegation Research Award. In the Living Newspaper (Docu-Play Enactment) category, Samiya Khurana (11B), Bhumika Puri (12C), Ashmin Malhotra (12B), and Deepanshi Moitra (12B) delivered a dynamic and thought-provoking performance, which secured them the First Position. In the Visual Art Installation Competition, Shiksha Dwivedi (11E) and Deepanshi Moitra (12B) won the Judge’s Choice Award. In the “Slam Poetry/Spoken Word Competition”, Samiya Khurana and Bhumika Puri demonstrated their poetic talent with a powerful performance, thus earning them appreciation for their evocative expression. In the “General Quiz”, Ashmin Malhotra and Shiksha Dwivedi represented the school, showcasing sharp intellect, impressive general knowledge, and teamwork. Their outstanding performance brought them well-deserved recognition.
The Indian School secured the “Third Position Overall”, a testament to the dedication, versatility, and commitment of its talented participants.
The competition provided an invaluable platform for creative and intellectual exchange, and the students of The Indian School returned enriched with exposure, experience, and a renewed zeal for excellence.
