The District Level Kala Utsav, was held on 6th November 2023 at the GGSSS School, Pushp Vihar. It was an initiative of the Department of Education with 12 participating schools.
Anwesha Dutta (XI D) took part in the girls musical instrumental melody category and played Raag Brindavani Sarang on the flute, securing the First Position.
Gaauresh Paul (XI C) took part in the same category for boys, and won the First Position for his rendition of Raag Jaijaivanti on the violin. Both students qualified for the upcoming State Level Competition.
The instrumentalists were ably accompanied by Dhairya Saran (XI E) on the tabla, and Anush Malik (XI A) on the harmonium.
The competition had students playing different raagas and taals on a variety of instruments like the violin, flute, tabla and the harmonium to a captivated audience. The experience was motivating and inspiring.
