Top honours at inter school debate in English and Hindi
The true essence of debate lies in respectful disagreement and the willingness to learn from one another.
The students of The Indian School participated in the 26th Ramjas Inter School Debate hosted by Ramjas School, Pusa Road, from 16-19 October 2023. 60 schools of Delhi-NCR and neighbouring states participated in this prestigious debate. Six students from classes X and XI represented our School.
The debate in English took place on 16 October 2023, where Niayti Khurana (XI) and Unnati Mishra (XI) spoke for and against the motion, respectively, on the topic ‘I, Me, Myself’. Kairav Nagpal (XI) acted as interjector.
The debate in Hindi took place on 18 October 2023, where Naman Kumar Singh (X) and Kamreen Zehra (X) spoke for and against the motion respectively, on the topic ‘ ‘ Ryan Singh (X) participated as interjector.
Niyati Khurana of class XI E and Kamreen Zehra of class X A secured the Outstanding Speaker Prizes in English and Hindi respectively. The students got a wonderful opportunity to showcase their debating skills, critical thinking ability and analytical skills. To witness a battle of words, was an enriching experience for them.
