Our School team participated in the fifth edition of the Jim Corbett- Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant- FG Pearce Annual Young Ideators' Conclave, an online inter-school competition organised by Birla Vidya Mandir from 28 to 30 May, 2022. Our School team won in three distinguished categories.
Harmanjot Singh Nanda, XII, was adjudged Best Extempore Speaker in the Multi-Format English Debate. Here the speakers were to speak for 1.5 minutes on the topic that was given on the spot. Harman expressed his views on the topic, "Happiness is a garden walled with glass: there's no way in or out. In paradise, there are no stories, because there are no journeys. It's loss and regret and misery and yearning that drive the story forward, along its twisted road." (Margaret Atwood, 'The Blind Assassin')
Rewa Upadhyay, X, was awarded the Judge's Choice Prize for Creative Writing. In this category, participants were to script a 15-line piece, a combination of a travelogue in prose and poetry based on the words/phrase given as a cue.
Shivansh Kapoor, VII, was among the Top 5 Outstanding Performers (asanas) in the Live Yoga Competition. A live demonstration of two asanas was followed by a speech on the philosophy and the peripheral benefits of the respective asanas.
