Top honours at inter school music and dance competition
"Triumph and Harmony: The Indian School's Success at VASANT UTSAV"
The Indian School took part in "VASANT UTSAV" an event hosted by Ahlcon International School, Mayur Vihar on 12 February, 2024. The event featured music and dance competitions, and our students participated in the various categories.
Music: The music competition for classes 3-5 was based on patriotic group songs.
Aarush Gangan, Vrinda Dawar, Mysha Khandelwal, Jishnu Chattopadhyay, Pulkit Bhardwaj, Deeptanshu Chakraborty, Vrisha Razdan, and Alisha Uzair, accompanied by Naivaidya Gouda on the Tabla and Shourya Gupta on the Manjira, delivered a soulful rendition of the song – “Pyaara ye Bharat, Nyara Ye Bharat”. Their melodious and captivating performance, secured the First Position in this category.
Dance: The Indian School participated in two dance categories.
Nrityatarang: Eight children from classes 6 to 8 participated in this category, presenting folk dances from two states that celebrate the spirit of ‘basant’ (spring). They presented the Garba of Gujarat and a folk dance from West Bengal. The participants were Alina Lal, Aaishi Sen Gupta, and Parul Yadav. It was an enthralling performance by them.
In the same event, the second category “Solo Classical Dance” was designated for the students of classes 9 to 12, titled “Nrityangna”. In this segment, S. Elakkiya, class 11 demonstrated her proficiency with her presentation of Bharatnatyam and secured the Second Position.
The event wrapped up with the sweet melody of victory and success.
