Top honours at National Aeromodelling competition at IIT Delhi
The National Aeromodelling Competition, was held at IIT Delhi on 30 November 2024. 8 students from The Indian School proudly represented the institution in various categories, showcasing their engineering and design skills.
In the Jugnoo Chuck Glider category, Aariz Farooqui of class IV demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm. The Tiny Tiya Chuck Glider category saw fierce competition, with 6 students of class 8—Kabir Malhotra, Hitansh Kumar Sharma, Nitai Ahuja, Ashhar Imam, Chinmay, and Sankalp Chaudhary—taking part. Aavyan Gupta of class IX competed in the Crossbird Chuck Glider category, showcasing advanced skills.
Participants were required to design and construct functional model aircraft, adhering to strict constraints on weight, size, and flight time. This rigorous task encouraged them to solve engineering problems creatively and adapt their designs under time pressure. The competition judged models on design quality, craftsmanship, and flight performance.
The Indian School students delivered outstanding results. Kabir Malhotra (class 8E) clinched the First Position, and Hitansh Kumar Sharma (class 8C) secured the Second Position in the Tiny Tiya Chuck Glider Category.
This competition provided an enriching experience, blending classroom concepts with real-world application. We commend our students for their exceptional performance and look forward to participating in similar events in the future.
