Top honours at national inter school competition

On 12th and 13th of April, 2019, our School team participated in the 11th G.D Birla Thought Conclave, Pune.

This annual event comprised of various events such as, creative writing, art installation, debate, quizzing, poster-making, and a Duologue. The events were spread over two days. The initial rounds of all the events was completed on the 12th and the finals of the debating, quizzing and poster-making were held on the 13th. The results were declared on 13th April.

Upon our arrival at the host school, we were given a brief introduction about the events to commence hereafter. The event started with the elimination rounds of debate and quiz in the auditorium and the A.V room respectively. After this, the participants for art installation were asked to showcase their skills outdoors. The debate was divided into the turncoat and extempore rounds. The topic of the debate was 'Superman versus Superman'. The students were to build their arguments this keeping in mind the present-day political scenario!

The next day, on 13th April, the results of all the events were announced. Jahnnobi Roy (XII-D) was named Best Speaker for turncoat debate; Epari Pratyaksh Sai (XII-C) and Jahnnobi Roy (XII-D) won the second prize for Duologue; Mehul Tandon (XII-A) won the first prize for poster-making! The applause was long and loud and the winners on top of the world! Each these student received a trophy and certificate.

Overall, the experience was an enjoyable and learning- filled one.
