Top Honours at Vasant Valley Speakers Forum
On 16 February 2026, the students of The Indian School participated in the Vasant Valley Speakers’ Forum held at Vasant Valley School. The forum comprised a range of Hindi and English events, including Book Discussion, Kavi Sahitya, Tall Tales (creative writing), Advertisement Making and Presentation, Story Narration and Hindi Skit.
In the English category, Amaira Kapoor of Class VII A secured the First Position in Tall Tales (Creative Writing) on the topic, The Last Slice of Pizza. Her entry was imaginative and well-structured, reflecting originality and confident storytelling.
In the Hindi category, Dhanvi Kohli of Class VII B and Aaradhya Arora of Class VII D secured the First Position in Advertisement Making and Presentation. They presented a creative advertisement of a watch, explaining its features and usefulness with clarity and confidence.
Aaishi Sengupta and Aashman Jawa of Class VIII A secured the Third Position in Story Narration for their presentation of “Namak Ka Daroga” by Munshi Premchand. Their narration was clear and expressive, demonstrating effective voice modulation and stage presence.
The Hindi Skit Competition for Class VI students featured performances based on stories from the Panchatantra. Divjot Kaur (VI A), Prisha Mishra (VI A), Piyush Kumar (VI E) and Arnit Dagar (VI B) secured the Second Position. Their skit, set in a jungle where animals debated who was the most intelligent, was performed with confidence and strong coordination.
The outstanding achievements of the students reflect their creativity, confidence and dedication. The Indian School takes immense pride in their accomplishments and looks forward to many more such opportunities where the students continue to excel and bring laurels to the school.
