Top honours in inter school IT symposium

The students of The Indian School took part in "Byte. IT 2023," an inter-school competition hosted by Bal Bharti School, Pitampura, on 19 August 2023. More than 60 schools showcased their versatility in this melange of IT events conducted in the hybrid mode.

The Indian School team consisting of three computer enthusiasts from the senior school were escorted by Ms Tavleen Singh, a computer science department faculty member, to the host school.

Navigating successfully through a surprise round, the three Indianites, Maanya Arora (XII-C), Simran Kaur (XII-D), and Kushal Bansal (XI-C), succeeded in clinching the First Position in the highly competitive pitch.IT category for their business idea on agri-tech/healthcare. Maanya Arora creatively pitched the unconventional idea of having a "shark as a pet!

The jury, consisting of intellectuals from diverse backgrounds, including commerce and technology, praised their ingenuity and innovativeness.

Meanwhile, in the online Present IT category, Avika Bansal and Ish Jadwani of class V D secured the Third Prize for their presentation highlighting outstanding inventors' contributions and groundbreaking innovations, such as the telephone and the light bulb. The presentation successfully conveyed the historical significance of these inventions, shaping the world as we know it.
