Top honours in inter school Math competition

Mathematics gives us hope that every problem has a solution.

In an effort to lay a strong foundation in Mathematics, nine of us from The Indian School, in the company of our Math teacher Ms Payal Sharma, visited Delhi Public School, Sector 45, Gurgaon on 25 November, 2022, to participate in an inter-school Math event Mathletics 2022.

The host school organised 3 major events where our team participated with zeal and enthusiasm, showcasing their potential.Sejal Gupta, Ekveer Sahoo, Darsh Verma and Aarush Roy of class XI participated in Mathematical Modelling.Around ten teams from different schools were a part of the event.

All the participants were asked to construct a model following the given guidelines. Our project The All Seeing Tase was conceived to assist the visually impaired by facilitating them to navigate their environment through a 3-dimensional coordinate system. The prototype was appreciated by the judges.Our team did us proud by winning the First Position.
Our young quizzers,Ayaan Ahmed and Aarav Bansal of class 8 secured the Third Position in the Junior Quiz.
Aarush Mahajan and Manya Jain of class X participated in the event Inte-create and built a model to demonstrate the application of Mathematics in bridge construction, which was well appreciated by the judges.

Pragyan Medhi of class IX participated in a fancy dress event titled Rational 1.He donned the hat of renowned mathematician, Ramanujan and got aSpecial Mentionfrom the judges.

The event helped the students in identifying their capabilities and motivated them to learn and expand their knowledge. Overall, it was a great learning experience.
