Unity Day - Commemorating the life of the Iron Man of India

On 31st October, 2017, classes X-XII observed Sardar Patel Jayanti also popularly known as Unity Day. This was followed by an inter house western music competition where students showcased their music skills. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, well known as the Iron Man of India was the first Deputy Prime Minister of India. He played a leading role in the countrys struggle for independence from British colonial rule and guided the integration of India into a united independent nation.

A video created by Anya Khanna of class IX, presented the life and history of this influential personality was shown to the students. This was followed by a skit on the role of Sardar Patel in the freedom movement. Akshat Sharma, Vedanshi, Anas and Reva Kalra of class XI played the central characters in the role play. Students of class 9 enthusiastically participated in making posters and composing slogans on the theme of National Unity on the occasion.
