Virtual classroom with a Colombian teacher for class 2C

We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teachers hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world. David Warlick. A virtual class was conducted for the students of class 2-C with Mr Will Sarrmeinto, teacher at the La Colina School in Colombia (South America). on 21 December, 2020 via Google Meet. After an ice breaker round, the session began with the students on both sides exchanging information about their national symbols, cuisines and popular dance forms. This was followed by a captivating presentation on Colombia specially prepared by the students from there for the session. Our students were amazed by the beauty of Colombia, its beautiful museums, food, culture, transport system, festivals and its exquisite infrastructure. Furthermore, they were astonished to learn that there exists a time difference of 10 hours and 30 minutes between the two countries! One of our students, Arnav Kohli, narrated a story titled Bojo-the Caterpillar. The story, penned by our young writer, carried the message that One should never lose hope and keep trying. Arnav kept the students from both sides engaged as he confidently narrated his story using props to enhance the effect. The session came to an end with an animated question-answer round where the excited young ones posed questions to Mr Sarrmeinto about Colombia which he answered patiently. He applauded our students for their knowledge and level of confidence with which they interacted with him.
