Virus 2015
To encourage students to develop an interest in Information Technology, ENIAC the computer club of Blue Bells School International hosted VIRUS 2015 on 7th December 2015. Virus is inter school computer symposium. The name of the club ENIAC represents; Encoding, Networking, Innovating, Achieving and Computing and is an initiative of the students themselves.
The event saw the participation of 15 schools of Delhi and the NCR like Modern School, Barakhambha Road, DPS R K Puram, Modern School Vasant Vihar, Tagore International School East of Kailash, Springdales Dhaulakaun, DPS Noida, Bluebells International School and DPS Sushant Lok.

The symposium started with an inauguration ceremony. Chief guest, Dr. Vinnie Jauhari Director, Education Advocacy at Microsoft Corporation India Ltd. addressed the gathering. Following this, the participants were escorted to their appointed venues. The events were:
Powerpoint Presentation: Aditi Gaur and Keshava Gupta of class V participated in this event. Participants were asked to use the Microsoft power-point to design and prepare a presentation. The topic given was Social Networking'. Facts, images, audio and video files relating to the topic were handed to the children on the spot. Here, Aditi and Keshava came second and were awarded a trophy and certificates.
Programming: Mayank and Prakhar Gupta of class XI participated in this event which had a 30-minute objective type, preliminary round to identify the finalists. The Prelims consisted of an MCQ, one-word answer questions and an output- finding round.
Quiz: Yash Lamba and Samarth Saxena of class IX participated in this category. It started with a 30 minute preliminary round of objective-type questions. This led to the selection of six teams to perform in the final round on stage.
Digital Imagining: Alisamar of class XI and Tanmay Kohli of class IX participated in this category. For this event, participants were required to be skilled in poster-designing. They were judged on the basis of their originality, creativity, code, functionality and aesthetics.
Gaming: Pulkit Goyal of class XI participated in this category. The Game type was Console.

Rubik Cube competition: Mohd. Huzaifa, Arjun Pasricha of class IX and Chaitanya Chopra of class VIII participated in this category. This event was a speed-solving competition of the 3x3x3 Rubik cube and the Pyraminx. The winner was determined on the basis of the average time taken in two rounds.
The occasion event turned out to be a very stimulating and enjoyable affair for all!
