Virus 2020- an online inter school tech event
Bluebells School International organised VIRUS 2020, an online inter school IT event, on 2 December 2020.
The event was an opportunity for students to 'revolutionise' technology through their innovative ideas. The theme for this year was Overheat. As many as 18 schools participated in the event.
The following events were conducted for different levels.
1. Python Polemos Concept: The event tested the participants' knowledge of Coding and Programming. Programming is fundamental for us to engage with the machines at their most basic level. It is our way of interacting with technology. Gaurav Kumar and Gunveer Singh of class XII participated in the event to showcase their programming skills.
2. Br(AI)nstorming - AI is a revolutionary discipline that involves cognitive functions like learning, problem solving, reasoning, etc. Ekveer Sahoo and Hardik Narang of class IX participated in the event. They submitted a video and gave a presentation on Artificial Intelligence.
3. Pixellence Concept: Graphic designing also known as digital imaging, is an amalgamation of creativity and technical skills. The event required the participants to design a poster on the given topic. Aditya Prasad Sahoo and Vahid of class X took part in this event. The topics were given on the spot and the students were asked to create a poster.
4. Armageddon The event was challenging and had an exciting twist. The event challenged participants to play against other participants within a fixed time. Abhiraj Sharma and Mitr Nanda of class XII participated in the event.
It was an enriching experience where the students got to learn about the technologies of the future. The students found the experience very informative.
