Visit to art museum for class 3
The students of class III visited the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art to see an exhibition of art by a group of artists on 14 November 2018 as part of Childrens Day celebrations. The exhibition named,Delirium-Equilibrium, curated by Roobina Karode, used films, videos and kinetic objects with elements of colour, touch, sound and movement to help the audience create a world of their own. Almost 180 children were escorted by their respective class teachers- Ms. Chanda Sharma, Ms.Rakhi Prasad, Ms. Martina Roy, Ms. Aparajita Chandola and Ms. Priya Sharma.
The students were delighted to see giant-sized installations, artworks and the short films. The KNMA team made a short presentation on the works of the exhibiting artists.
The team also organised a small workshop where the students were divided into groups of five and given some basic drawing tools. The groups were asked to share the given material with one another, thereby encouraging each student to visually portray their interpretations of the displayed artworks at the gallery.

The experience gave the young visitors a flavour of art in general and the artists they were viewing. The teachers explained how art can be a tool to bring about positive change in society. Last but not the least, the displays stimulated the imagination and creativity of the children as the teachers pointed out the aspects of the art works to observe.
Perhaps some of our young visitors will grow up to become artists themselves!
