Visit to the Dolls' Museum, class 1.
Visits and trips to meticulously selected venues not just increase the confidence of children but also provide a cognizance about self and the social surroundings. In an attempt to achieve these aims and help the children explore the world of experience a trip was organized to the Doll museum for class 1 on 19 July, 2013. To ensure a successful trip, a prior brief about the museum was given to the children. How they will see dolls from different countries in different dresses and how they should try to spot the differences.
The students and their teachers reached the museum at 10 am where they were warmly welcomed by the officials. The children were then guided to the galleries where the children were thrilled to see numerous dolls in from various countries such as, Portugal,Italy, the Americas etc. . They enthusiastically and promptly named similarities and differences between the dresses and features of the dolls they saw with those of the ones they possessed at home!
The entire experience was very informative and entertaining and the children got a flavour of the diverse cultures across the globe.
We returned to school by 11:30 a.m., in time for nutri-meal after which we continued with regular school activities.
