Visit to the Children's Museum at Siri Fort, Pre- primary.
On the bright autumn morning of 3 October, 2013, pre-primary students along with their teachers visited the Childrens Museum at Siri Fort. The children were excited and eager to leave.
At the entrance of the museum we were greeted by delicately sculpted stone idols of Ganesh and Vishnu resting against the five- headed serpent. We saw the Ashoka pillar with it's four lions facing the four cardinal directions and the Ashoka Chakra. Some of the children prompted said it also appeared on currency notes!
There were numerous displays and photographs of important places in India. The Qutub Minar, the stone chariot of Hampi, the Konark temple etc.

We also saw visuals of the story of Lord Krishna gifting the Govardhan Parvat, Shivas tandav nritya and Samucha Manthan. It was a visual treat and the children recalled having heard several of these tales from our heritage at home and now they had come alive!
