Visit to the National Science Centre- class 5

In our endeavour to build and enhance a scientific temper among our students, School organised an excursion for class V to the National Science Centre on Tuesday, 26th September 2017.

The students took a tour of the various galleries, namely, Emerging Technologies, Water: The Elixir of Life, Information Revolution, Digital Information, Fun Science, Heritage Gallery, Prehistoric Life Gallery, the Human Biology Gallery and the Uniqueness of Human Life Gallery etc.

They curiously explored the various interactive hands'-on exhibits which were not only informative but also fun- filled.

The main attraction was the recently introduced Science on Sphere programme which is a unique show that uses high-end projectors to display planetary data on a six feet diameter spheroid which acts like a giant digital globe. Animated images of the sun, moon and the planets were projected for the audience. Expectedly these met with wonder and amazement from the young students.

Last but not the least, the children saw a 3-D film -The Evolution of Life on Earth which they thoroughly enjoyed.

The trip was a very good learning experience-one that enabled the students to learn by seeing and doing in entertainment.
