Visit to University Fair for class 12

In this competitive world, it has become extremely essential to choose the right course irrespective of the stream one opts for. With manifold study options available in India and abroad, it us desirable to aspire for the best, taking monetary factors, topography and ability into account and then to acclimatise where you get admitted.

On this note, the United States India Education Foundation (USIEF) in collaboration with Education USA organised a University Fair on the 28th Oct17 at The Lalit. A group of 20 students of classes X-XII accompanied by Ms. Suhina Roshangar visited the fair to enrich themselves with a taste of US education and the procedures to apply for the same.

The representatives of more than 30 reputed US universities were present in the central hall of the hotel, in a well organised manner. The attendees were free to visit any counter to enquire about the study options. Some exhibitors included George Washington University, University of South Florida, University of Cincinnati, University of Berkley and several others.

This was followed by an interactive panel discussion by eminent delegates from the universities present. They emphasised upon the holistic development of the child and the value of board results for university admissions.

Since a significant sum of money is involved in enrolling at these colleges, the representatives advised meticulous and prudent planning. There were also quite a few workshops after this as well on visa applications as well as one by the British Council.

We returned to School armed with a fresh perspective on the matter of approaching college admissions.
