Webinar for peers on Climate Change by students of class VIII
A group of 18 students from class VIII hosted a webinar for their peers in classes VII and VIII. The online event was successfully conducted after the regular classes, on 20 January 2021. The hosts received a very positive response from their peers and juniors for the programme was a part of an ISA activity on the theme, 'Climate Change'.
The show began with an insightful skit by Zavaibah, Kavya, Dhruv, Aurosmriti, Vinayak, Ram, Reva, Pragati and Unnati. The skit described the degradation suffered by Planet Earth each passing year. The play was well appreciated by the audience.
This was followed by an interactive PPT presentation prepared by Gaurika, Avni, Akshit, Sovit, Samriddhi, Animesh, Tanisha, Aanya and Bhavya on the changing climatic conditions. The sensitivity for the cause as demonstrated by the suggestions made to save precious resources, was very commendable and reassuring. Innovative ideas to recycle material, reduce pollution and spread awareness regarding safeguarding our eco-system were appreciated and brainstormed upon. The programme ended with a rap song sung by Ananya of VIII-D. The song chosen by her was Dear 2045 sung by Willow Sky.
Principal, Ms Tania Joshi, addressed the students after the webinar. She congratulated the team and expressed the need to take such innovative ideas forward and not leave them here.
A similar webinar was also hosted for classes III - V on 22 January. Though the responses, questions and concerns of the younger students were more simplistic, but they were in no way short of intent and sincerety for the mission. Their die hard enthusiasm to know about how to save Mother Earth was worth appreciating and extremely reassuring.
