Workshop on "Memory, Focus, and Concentration"

School organised a workshop on "Memory, Focus, and Concentration" to promote effective learning and cognitive development among students. The event aimed to highlight the importance of literacy and intellectual growth through meaningful engagement and was conducted by Ms Jayashree Mehta,  certified trainer and counsellor.

Ms Mehta engaged the students in an interactive session, explaining how everyday distractions, such as mobile notifications, can negatively affect concentration.

She elaborated on the functioning of the human brain and emphasised the importance of regularly exercising it to enhance thinking abilities. She also discussed the impact of adolescence on behaviour and decision-making. Through real-life examples, she introduced practical techniques such as the “Pomodoro Technique”, “chunking”, and “spaced learning” to improve focus and memory. Additionally, she guided students on managing stress and developing better study habits. An engaging memory-based activity was conducted to help students apply the techniques in a practical manner.

The session concluded with a brief interaction, during which students clarified their doubts and shared their feedback. The workshop proved highly informative and beneficial, helping students improve concentration and sharpen their thinking skills.
