Workshop on Netiquettes and Online Safety

The students of classes 8C and 8E attended a workshop on netiquettes and online safety. It was organised at The Indian School on 12 April 2022 by Westech Securities Pvt. Ltd. in the School auditorium from 11 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Tania Joshi, Principal, welcomed Mr Abhishek Ram, technical director at Westech Securities.

In his presentation, Mr Ram talked about the meaning of netiquettes and the need for cyber safety. He defined Netiquette as a combination of words, networks and etiquette that represent a set of rules for acceptable online behaviour. Nowadays, cyber security is significant because it encompasses everything relating to protecting our data from cyber attackers who want to steal this information and use it to cause harm.

The guest speaker emphasised the need for students to be cautious while being online. He advised them about measures to adopt to be safe from cyber bullies and hackers. He talked about social engineering as well. The session was interactive as Mr Ram answered student queries with alacrity.

It was a very productive and informative workshop for all students.
