World Mental Health Day celebrations
World Mental Health Week is celebrated every year in October to highlight issues related to mental health and to sensitise people about the same. Moolchand Medcity in collaboration with Expressions India observed World Mental Health Day on 10 October 2018, to highlight the importance of physical, mental and social wellbeing of children, for their harmonious and overall development. The topic for this year was Youth Mental Health Promotion. Many schools from various parts of the state took part in the event.
11 students (Sakshi Singh (9A), Shayan Sabarwal (9B), Rishab Khanna (9B), Mehul Tandon (11B), Aashna Khanna (11B), Devanshi Mendiratta (11B), Saksham Batra (11C), Vishesh Nagdev (11C), Mehar Saxena (11C), Jahnnobi Roy (11D) and Anshika Sharma (11E) from classes IX to XI were selected from our School to participate in the various events on the occasion.

The day began with a nature walk and a short session on creating awareness about mental health. This was followed by the various competitions in which students participated with great enthusiasm.
The quiz team of our School stood second and our Nukkad Natak was named third for its effective presentation on drug abuse. The participants of the poster- making team were awarded a special jury prize. Jahnnobi Roy stood second in the extempore competition.
Many interesting games and races awaited the participants at the end of the event. It was a lot of fun and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Saksham Batra and Mehar Saxena participated in the lemon race and won prizes too. It was an exciting and informative event.
