The Indian School participated in the Zonal Level Folk Group Song Competition organised at Fr. Agnel School on 5 August 2026. Competing in the Folk Group Song (Girls' Category), a 16-member choir represented the School with a vibrant rendition of a traditional Haryanvi folk song. The choir comprised Aprajita Sengupta (VI A), Debadrita Sengupta (VI A), Alesha Uzair (VI D), Alankrita (VIII B), Dhanvi (VIII B), Rishika Arora (VIII D), Aradhya Luthra (VIII D), Samridhi Upadhyay (VIII D), Riyansika (VIII E), Aashi Singh (VIII E), Vrinda Dawar (VIII E), Avika Kapoor (IX A), Vedanshi Sharma (IX C), Snigdha Naug (XI D), Riddhi Solanki (XII D), and Siddhi Solanki (XII D).
The students delivered a spirited performance marked by rhythmic precision, vocal harmony, and cultural authenticity, capturing the energetic essence of regional folk music. Although the team did not secure a podium finish, the competition provided the young vocalists with valuable stage exposure and practical insight into competitive choral dynamics.
The experience served as an inspiring learning milestone, strengthening their teamwork, performance confidence, and commitment to refining their musical craft for future zonal endeavours.
