Zonal level orchestra competition
Where words fail, music speaks.- Hans Christian Andersen.
The world speaks many languages, but the one which connects us all is the universal language of music. It resonates across all differences and effectively wins over hearts.
Celebrating this spirit and language of music, The Indian School organised a zonal level orchestra competition on 29 August 2022. The following four schools participated: Apeejay School, Saket; Apeejay School, Panchsheel; Amity International School, Saket, and Green Fields School, Safdarjung Enclave.
Principal, Ms Tania Joshi, warmly welcomed all the participants and lauded the role of music in the holistic development of students. Emcees Ananya Basu and Oishee Halder of class VIII introduced the esteemed judges from the field of music, namely, Shri Prashant Kumar Behera and Shri Prashant Kumar Pradhan.
Shri Behera, an eminent musician with over 30 years of experience in singing and music composition, is the winner of the prestigious Sangeet Acharya award, a national scholarship from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, and the Odisha State Youth Award.
