Parent Appreciation for Annual Day 2026: Migration- Journeys That Shape Us
Dear Indianite Team,
It was a privilege to be invited to your Annual Day celebration. I was truly impressed to see how schools have evolved in showcasing not only the talents of their students but also the dedication and creativity of their faculty. The celebration went far beyond traditional dance performances, bringing important contemporary issues and themes that reflect the realities of our society to the stage through thought-provoking debates and performances.
The event was also quite emotional, as it resonated with the journeys of many parents who have migrated from their hometowns in pursuit of jobs, education and better opportunities, leaving behind their familiar surroundings, childhood memories, homes, and families.
On a personal note, I was especially delighted to see my daughter, Habiba perform on stage for the very first time, in front of hundreds of unfamiliar faces. She has never been particularly fond of dancing but seeing her gradually develop an interest in dance, improve her moves and most importantly, gain confidence was truly heartwarming. It was wonderful to witness her transform into a braver, more confident version of herself.
Thank you for organizing such a meaningful and memorable event. It was not just a celebration of talent but also of growth, courage, creativity and the beautiful journey of childhood.
Warm regards and heartfelt appreciation to the entire team!
The entire family of Habiba Azeem
