Annual Exhibition 2020 by Pre School (virtual)

Technology, when used appropriately is a very creative tool for learning. It ushers young children grow and absorb, guided by teachers and parents actively. They learn to use simple technology tools and use them to play, learn and solve problems. With schools shut due to the pandemic, celebrations have shifted online, with manifold events being planned digitally.

The Annual Exhibition for the students of Pre School pulled out all stops to close the gap of a virtual display. The exhibition consisted of not only homework by the little ones during the summer vacation but also the beautiful art and craft creations made by them with their teachers in class. The Indian School thus, organised the Pre School Virtual Annual Exhibition on 16 September 2020 based on this years School theme March of Time Then and Now.

PS Kokab introduced the event with Kovid and Aavyan welcoming our Principal, Vice-Principal and parents to the Techno world of the little Indianites. Mankirat sang an invocation prayer to seek the blessings of the Almighty and Kathan recited a Hindi rhyme on Technology. It was amazing to hear the confident l young children speak about Robots and Apps.

Principal, Ms Tania Joshi, welcomed everyone and appreciated the efforts of the children. Vice Chairperson, Dr Mrs Nayana Goradia, in a video message blessed the students and welcomed their parents on the occasion. She touched upon the ethos of the School and the concept of a School theme from Pre School to Class XII. She praised the teachers for their efforts and motivated the young ones to work hard. Her words of encouragement got the children and their teachers geared up for the event!

The children of PS Capella presented a skit which saw the young lot essaying the role of three generations. Each generation talked about how education was imparted in its time. The students representing the new generation, dramatised how they were receiving education via virtual classes.

Kovid of PS Kokab informed the audience about the 10 reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. He spoke with such ease that the audience was overwhelmed by his confidence and knowledge!

The Holiday Homework was showcased through a short video film. Some of the students spoke of their work while displaying it. The students described their dream of designing a robot and launching a rocket. Some even shared their experiences of helping their mothers in making burlap mats. Students demonstrated fitness through different yoga postures while some others exhibited their culinary skills of fireless cooking.

The young quizmasters of PS Agena asked questions relating to technology tools and gadgets. The word BINGO rang out as the correct answer was volunteered, adding to the excitement! The children then narrated a story using colourful props and actions.

Celebrations with kids are incomplete without a dance. The children of PS Delphini and PS Hercule danced like live robots to the song I am a robot. It felt as if a group of robots had landed on the virtual screen to dazzle the audience! They received a huge round of applause after their performance.

A vote of thanks was proposed by the students of PS Hercule and Delphini where they thanked their parents and teachers for their efforts and encouragement.

The virtual exhibition ended with beautiful memories to be cherished forever.
