Christmas celebrations in the Pre-Primary

Christmas waves a magic wand over the world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.

The much-awaited festival of Christmas was celebrated with fervour and zeal virtually on 23 December by the children of the Pre-Primary department.

The students presented a thought-provoking skit which emphasised that Christmas was more than just Santa, cards, toys or gifts under the Christmas tree. The children spoke lines highlighting the true meaning of the decorations like the Christmas Tree, Candy Cane, Lights, Star and Bell that are used for decorating the Christmas tree.

The entry of Santa Claus took everyone by surprise and was the highlight of the event. The child dressed as Santa enacted her role with confidence and pride. She asked the children what gifts they wanted. The answers surprised the audience as the children asked for sanitizers, masks and a vaccine against the deadly virus! Lastly, the students wished for schools and parks to be re-opened. This demonstrated that the little ones were aware of the things happening around them.

To spread the message of love and good cheer, the children danced ro the carol We wish you a Merry Christmas. The children dressed in their bright outfits were a delight to watch and charmed everyone.

A surprise awaited the parents. To celebrate the rich fervour of Christmas, the teachers of both The Indian School and The Foundation School mesmerised the audience by singing a medley of well-loved carols. It was a pre-recorded performance and the video was played which was appreciated by all.

The most important aspect of Christmas is giving and sharing. The children of the Pre-Primary celebrated Christmas in a unique way by posing as little Santas for their household helpers. They distributed gifts to them as an expression of their love, thus spreading happiness in the festive season.

Children also made beautiful origami craft of Santa and drew a Christmas tree in their sketch files.

Christmas is a season of joy, love, and peace. Lets forget the pain, hatred, fear, worry and all the negative things that happened this year, not just for this day but forever.
