The assembly held on 16 April 2026, conducted by Class 10B, offered a thoughtful exploration of the theme, “Chemists who Changed the World.” Prabhnoor Kaur and Shubhi Yadav opened the proceedings with commendable poise, setting a confident and engaging tone for the programme.

The assembly commenced with an eloquent address by Shashwata Sengupta, who reflected on the indispensable role of chemistry in shaping modern life. This was followed by an insightful interview segment in which Varnika Gupta and Kabir Malhotra shed light on the contributions of Venkatraman Ramakrishnan, thoughtfully integrating the School’s annual theme of Migration to underscore the inherently global and collaborative nature of scientific advancement.

The programme then transitioned into a vibrant showcase of talent. A melodious musical performance by Kartikey Srivastava, Arnav Gupta and a group of talented vocalists added a harmonious dimension to the assembly. This was followed by a creative courtroom roleplay, where Yug Bajaj, Khyati, Kishika Assudaney, Liba Haider, Garvita Bansal and Aarna Aggarwal brought history to life. Their engaging portrayal of a debate between scientific luminaries, including Antoine Lavoisier, Marie Curie, Linus Pauling and Dmitri Mendeleev, effectively illuminated landmark discoveries such as radioactivity and the development of the periodic table.

An engaging interactive quiz towards the end sustained the audience’s enthusiasm, as participants eagerly responded to questions on the 2024 and 2025 Nobel Prize winners in Chemistry.

The well-coordinated assembly concluded on an inspiring note, seamlessly blending scientific awareness with creative expression. It left the students with a deepened admiration for the pioneers of science and a renewed appreciation for the enduring impact of their contributions.
