Class 3 visit Dolls' Museum
The students of class 3 visited Dolls' Museum on 13 February, 2013 as an opportunity to explore and see dolls from various parts of the world. Scenes from the 10 incarnations of Vishnu, Gandhiji's Dandi March, man arriving on the moon, dances of India etc were elaborately depicted with dolls. On display were also dolls from diverse countries like Russia, Indonesia, Mexico and India etc., which gave the children a glimpse into the rich cultural diversities.
The students enjoyed their excursion and enthusiastically lapped up all they saw. They animatedly exchanged observations with their classmates even as they learnt of the dress, traditions, legends etc of distant cultures. The visit to the museum was followed by a visit to the neighbourhood park for a welcome snack and a spot in the sun!
