Class 3B host a special assembly for Independance Day
The students of class 3B took the initiative to organise a special assembly on 14 August 2024, to mark India's 78th Independence Day. The event was a testament to their active participation, aiming to instil a sense of patriotism and educate their peers about the significance of this historic day.
The assembly commenced with a brief introduction by narrator, Shivangi emphasising the significance of independence and the sacrifice of our freedom fighters.
Following the introduction, Anvi shared some fun facts about Incredible India while Uday shared a motivating thought for the day. Tathagat described how we gained our precious freedom.
A heartfelt poem, "Incredible India, loved by all," was recited by Aavyan. The poem conveyed the essence of our rich Indian culture, diverse traditions and festivals, and unique identity. A short speech by Anika and Shloke was also presented as a tribute to our freedom fighters.
The students presented a creative role play titled "Life of a Soldier". In this engaging skit, Ayansh, Lavanya Fulfagar, Shivansh, Ritwik, Nayantara and Om played the characters illustrating the stages in the life of a soldier. The narration was by Vamika and Mishka showing that the life of a soldier begins the day a child decides to become a soldier. That little child then turns into a rock-solid soldier with all the rigorous training that prepares him or her for the challenges ahead. Then, the day comes when the soldier gets posted at the border and enters the war zone. This journey to the war zone and the subsequent victory were depicted through a dance to patriotic songs like "Teri Mitti" and "Lehra do" by the students. The skit ended with remembering the soldiers who never returned home so we all could be safe in our homes.
The students and the audience joined in a lively song performance of the enduring "Saare Jahaan Se Accha", to conclude the assembly. The audience was enthralled by the performance and appreciated it. The assembly ended with the students and teachers reciting the National Pledge. Jai Hind!
