Class 5 visits Amrit Udyan

The excursion to Amrit Udyan on 14 February 2024 was an enriching and educational experience for the 151 students of class 5. Exploring the meticulously maintained gardens in the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex, provided a unique and beautiful setting for learning.

The diverse range of flora, including tulips, daffodils, the Asiatic Lily, the Oriental Lily, manifold varieties of roses, and rare seasonal flowers, were a feast for the eyes. The choice of the tulip as the flower for the Udyan Utsav in 2024, added a special touch to the visit. The students had the opportunity to witness 18 species of tulips with different variations, showcasing the beauty of monochromatic, double tones, and the late bloomers.

Beyond the floral displays, the different gardens like the Herbal-II, Tactile Garden, Bonsai Garden, and Arogya Vanam offered a comprehensive experience for the students. The special Bal Vatika for children, with its 225-year-old Sheesham tree, proved to be a fascinating space for the students.

The visit not only allowed the students to appreciate the beauty of nature but also served as a platform to learn about India's rich heritage. The excursion was designed to provide an immersive learning experience, allowing the students to explore beyond the confines of their classrooms.

The combination of education and fun during this excursion, left the students with lasting memories and a deeper appreciation for the cultural and natural heritage of India. Such experiences contribute significantly to a holistic approach to education, fostering a love for learning in students.
