Class 6 takes an excursion to Amrit Udyan

“Flowers are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty out values all the utilities in the world.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

On 14th February, 100 Indianities  of class 6, accompanied by their teachers, visited Amrit Udyan. Spread over a vast expanse of 15 acres, Amrit Udyan has often been portrayed, and deservedly so, as the soul of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The students witnessed  multiple attractions, including a specially curated garden for children named, 'Bal Vatika' with a 225-year-old Sheesham tree, a treehouse, nature’s classroom etc.

The students then proceeded to enjoy the Bonsai Garden and the Circular Gardens which contained  diverse flora and fauna. Later they explored the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum.

The students were captivated by the beauty of the gardens, which featured a variety of vibrant Spring flowers, neatly trimmed hedges, and manicured lawns. They walked through the different sections, admiring the seasonal blooms, the gently playing fountains, and the pretty pathways. The tranquil atmosphere and the bracing morning air made the visit a memorable experience.

At the Museum, the students viewed a collection of historical artefacts and exhibits showcasing India’s rich heritage and learned about the significance of each display. The visit was both enjoyable and educational, allowing for an immersive experience of nature and history.
