Class 9 harvests joy and knowledge at the School eco park

On 9 January 2025, 42 students of class IX embarked on an educational and recreational trip to the School exo park.  The excursion, designed to combine fun with learning, turned out to be an unforgettable experience for all.

The day was blessed with sunny weather, adding to the excitement and charm of the outing. The journey began with a lively bus ride, during which the students marvelled at the scenic beauty of the Aravalli Range. The glimpses of rural life along the way provided a refreshing escape from their usual routines, sparking joy and curiosity among the young urban learners. Songs, laughter, and chatter filled the air, making the ride an adventure in itself.

Upon arriving at the eco park , the students were greeted by the sprawling expanse of lush farmland. They were captivated by the sight of vibrant patches of fresh vegetables growing across the fields in neatly organised rows. They explored the park in great enthusiasm, observing the techniques used to cultivate the crops. The experience of picking fresh vegetables with their own fingers was truly exhilarating and offered a hands'-on learning opportunity in the truest sense. For many, it was their first encounter with farm life, and the joy of connecting with nature was palpable.

Each student enthusiastically filled his qnd her bag with fresh produce, cherishing the thought of taking home a piece of this wonderful day.

The young visitors also explored fascinating life sized science models at the park. These included optical illusion models that showcase the interplay of light and perspective, Newton’s Cradle illustrating the principles of motion and energy and parabolic structures demonstrating sound reflection and focus. Additionally, the exhibits featured concave, convex and plane mirrors that helped the students grasp the behaviour of light, as well as 3D models of NaCl and DNA, providing a tangible understanding of molecular structures. The students were intrigued by the exhibits and enthusiastically experimented with the models, deepening their understanding of science concepts in a fun and experiential way.

The students returned home with bags brimming with fresh vegetables and hearts filled with the satisfaction of a day well spent in nature’s embrace. The trip was not only a delightful escape from routine but also a valuable lesson in appreciating the importance of agriculture and sustainability. This visit to the School eco park was an unforgettable experience, leaving the students enriched, rejuvenated and more connected to the world around them.
