Classes 10-11 visit the Innovation Hub of National Science Centre for a hands'- on workshop

On 4 May 2026, a group of 29 students from Classes X, XI, and XII participated in an educational session at the Innovation Hub at the National Science Centre. The session focused on the event "Constructing and Using a Foldscope," involving a compact, paper-based microscope capable of magnifying specimens up to 140 times.

Under the guidance of their teacher, Ms Suman Aswal, the participants explored the fascinating intersection of science and innovation by assembling their own devices. This hands'-on activity enhanced the students' understanding of microscopy and encouraged curiosity, creativity, and scientific thinking as they observed various specimens through their self-made tools.

The visit also included an immersive experience of "The Holo Show" on human anatomy. This visually captivating presentation utilised holographic technology to provide a three-dimensional understanding of the human body, making complex biological structures and functions easier to comprehend. By witnessing the application of scientific principles in a real-world setting, the students gained practical exposure to concepts that are often limited to theoretical study.

The excursion proved to be a highly enriching experience that combined experiential learning with advanced technological exposure. Overall, the visit to the National Science Centre was both informative and inspiring, leaving the students motivated to explore the world of science with renewed enthusiasm.
