Classes 8 and 9 attend a Road Safety Workshop conducted by Delhi Police
A Road Safety Workshop was organised at The Indian School on 14 May 2026 for the students of Classes VIII and IX by the Road Safety Cell. The workshop was conducted by Inspector Anant Kumar Gunjan along with ASI Rajni and ASI Rina.
The programme commenced with an address by Principal, Ms Tania Joshi, who spoke about the increasing traffic congestion and emphasised the importance of road safety and responsible behaviour on the roads.
This was followed by an informative session conducted by Inspector Anant Kumar Gunjan, along with ASI Rajni and ASI Rina. The students were taught how to cross roads safely and were informed about the importance of wearing helmets and seatbelts. The officers explained how helmets can save lives during accidents and why seatbelts are essential for both drivers and passengers. They also discussed the consequences of violating traffic rules and educated the students about the dangers and legal implications of underage driving.
The workshop concluded with an engaging presentation which explained the various road safety signs and symbols and highlighted their importance in preventing accidents and ensuring safe travel.
The workshop proved to be highly informative and interactive. It created awareness among students about the importance of following road safety rules and encouraged them to become responsible, alert, and aware citizens.
