Diwali celebrations in Pre School
The students of Pre School celebrated Diwali on 11 November 2020 at a special assembly. Expectedly the children were excited and eagerly awaiting the occasion!
The assembly began with an introduction of why and how Diwali is celebrated. Faiza Rifaqat, Prisha Yadav, Naayla Ali, Avika Maurya, Samriddhi Kashyap and Samriddhi Sharma then beckoned their classmates with a special rhyme they had composed in the class with their teacher- "Diwali Is here, come come come". The little group sang in perfect sync and spirit.
Next followed a skit to sensitise the children about the harm that crackers do to the environment. This was ably enacted by Prisha Yadav, Parikshit Tanwar, Syed Ziyan, Shreyansh Paul and Mohammad Nouman Dewani. The children also took a pledge to celebrate a Green Diwali without burning any crackers at all. They said that they would also tell their friends in the neighbourhood to also do the same.
