Don't follow the crowd, let the crowd follow you- a Leadership Meet

'Lead On', The Annual Leadership Meet organized by Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, on 19 November, 2013 brought together young 'leaders' from over 30 reputed schools of Delhi and NCR. Ansh Kumar (XII) & Anish Bhat (XI) were our representatives at this meet. The event started with an ice-breaker where the leaders were introduced to each other.

The leaders got an opportunity to have interactive sessions with two political personalities, Mr. Mani Shankar Aiyar, Member of Parliament and Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Deputy Leader of the Opposition (Rajya Sabha). They spoke about leadership values and the misconception among people about politics and it's disassociation from values.

Following this there were team-building activities, the first beingThrough the Looking Glass which familiarised the leaders with the difference between vertical and horizontal leadership. Post- lunch, the activity was A Game of Cultural Clash. This was the days most exciting and 'happening' activity which helped the leaders understand what it takes to be confident and win any game with strong leadership skills.

Next in line was If I Were a Leader. This activity involved debate and discussion on a hypothetical scenario relating to the Delhi elections on 4 December, 2013.

At last, gifts were given to the winners of the ice-breaker session whose 1st position went to our Anish Bhat and 2nd position went to our Ansh Kumar!
