Enchanting Christmas Carnival in Pre school
"Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is more beautiful.” Norman Vincent Peale
On 24 December 2024, our School auditorium transformed into a winter wonderland for the highly anticipated Christmas Carnival for our young Pre schoolers. This spectacular event, a symphony of joy, warmth, and festive spirit, unfolded with a series of delightful activities that captivated the hearts of our little ones.
The day commenced with a soul stirring performance by our Pre school choir. The students filled the air with joyful renditions of Christmas carols. The children's enthusiasm was contagious as they sang "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas", setting the tone for a magical day that enveloped everyone in a blanket of cheer and celebration.
Following this musical interlude, the audience was treated to a magical movie. The classic animated tale of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" followed by "A Christmas Night" was shown to the young students, capturing the perfect blend of festive entertainment and timeless lessons on kindness, inclusion, the spirit of togetherness, and generosity, that define Christmas. The children enjoyed viewing the friendship of Santa and Rudolph on the big screen!
However, the event was not solely about passive enjoyment, it also featured a series of engaging, fun-filled activities that encouraged participation and brought out the playful spirit in our little ones. The carnival games included a spirited round of "Pin the Bow on the Christmas Gift" where children took turns trying to pin a red bow on a large sheet of wrapping paper with the eyes closed. Another exciting game was "Destacking the Cups", where the children competed to see who could destack the cups the fastest! Haroop of PS Kokab exclaimed, "I won the game! I want to play another round". Furthermore, the children enthusiastically engaged themselves in Christmas tree decoration where they worked together to decorate a hand-printed Christmas tree with ornaments like candy canes, bells, and socks made of cardboard. Abir of PS Hercule exclaimed, "I am decorating the Christmas tree beautifully; I'll get a good gift from Santa Claus now!"
The showstopper of the carnival was Santa, merrily striding in, much to the delight of the children. Dressed in his iconic red suit, Santa not only greeted the children with cheer but also distributed gifts to each one. “I sang the carol very well, that's why Santa was kind and gave me a candy!” exclaimed little Reyansh of PS Hercule.
Head Teacher-Primary, Ms Vandana Tewari, addressed the students, offering her heartfelt wishes. It was a day filled with laughter, music, and merriment, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of our little ones of a truly magical Christmas celebration.
