Excursion to the Mughal Gardens, class 4.
An edutainment trip to the Mughal Gardens was organised for class IV on 25 February, 2014. The bracing Spring morning strung new spright and the children were impatient to set out. They had been told about the venue of the Gardens and the myriad colours of Spring that they were about to see.
We climbed into our buses and soon the children spotted India Gate and the Houses of Parliament enroute. We alighted in the stipulated spot and walked slowly past the security. The children were not to be intimidated, infact they felt important!
We first visited the Medicinal Garden where we learnt about the different herbs grown there and their medicinal values. Next, we went to the Bonzai Park where we saw a varied number of hybrid trees. Soon we were led into the main Mughal Garden where row upon row of densely- packed Dahlias, Pansies, Tulips took our breaths away. Multiple musical fountains played as the plants sucked in the supple sunlight. The Rose and the Circular Garden were similar profusions of fragrance and flamboyant fauna.

We then proceeded to see a row of kiosk- displays of medicinal oils, herbs, hybrid varieties of fruits and vegetables grown on the premise. Finally In the Spiritual Garden we saw varieties of mango, lemon, mehndi, etc. It proved to be excellent edutainment for both the teachers and the children.
